The course is designed to provide a foundation of the compilation process and instruction on the requirements for the CSRS 4200 compilation engagement standard for practitioners. Participants will learn the process for performing CSRS 4200 compilation engagement, as well as understand the process for documenting the engagement.

This course will focus on the changes in the accounting standards for private entities (ASPE) and not-for-profit organizations (ASNPO). The new standards bring changes to financial reporting by these entities, and preparers and users of financial statements need to be aware of the key provisions to apply them correctly. The course will explore the changes in the new standards and provide practical guidance on how to apply them in both financial statements and disclosures.
